Remote Emergency Care (REC)
This course is designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills to respond with confidence to emergency situations and to deliver safe, evidence-based quality care in remote and isolated settings.

When: Generally runs multiple times a month.
Course Delivery: Face-to-face.
Course Length: This course runs for 2 days face-to-face and approximately 13 hours of online study.

Maternity Emergency Care (MEC)
The MEC course enables you, to develop the skills necessary to provide emergency care for expectant mothers and their babies in a rural or remote setting.

When: Generally run multiple times a month.
Course Delivery: Face-to-face.
Course Length: This course runs for 2.5 days face-to-face and approximately 8 hours of online study.

Pharmacotherapeutics:
Offered by the Centre for Remote Health, this course develops knowledge and skills in the use of medications, the risks associated with them, and strategies to increase the benefits and minimise the risks of treatments.

Immunisation Course
This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely administer vaccines.

Advanced Life Support (ALS)
Various providers offer the Advanced Life Support (ALS) course, often in one-day or two half-day courses.
It’s best to research and find a course located nearest to you, as the practical assessment should be completed alongside the theory component to fulfil the full course and meet facility requirements.
